Education and Certifications

At Carroll County Landscape, Inc. we place a great emphasis on training and education.  Education is such a highly regarded value at CCL that we have actively promoted it in our industry, not just to our own employees.  An example of this is CCL president David Alessandroni’s past involvement with the New Hampshire Landscape Association’s education committee and current participation in the NHLA’s certification committee.  In fact David was a member of the original committee that developed the exam study manual and was instrumental in the formation of the certification program in New Hampshire in 1999.

Owner, David Alessandroni has passed the exam and been given the title of  ‘Certified Horticulturist’ from the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association.  This title is maintained by acquiring continuing education credits and participating in industry related activities each year.

David Alessandroni, gardening crew foreman and general manager Jan Bicknell, and installation foreman Tyrrell Nickerson have been recognized by the New Hampshire Landscape Association as ‘NH Certified Landscape Professionals’ after passing the exam to attain this status.  They maintain their titles with continuing education credits and participation in industry related activities each year.

David Alessandroni and installation foreman Tyrrell Nickerson have completed the certificate program in horticulture at the University of Massachusetts Green School.

David Alessandroni is licensed to apply pesticides in an environmentally responsible manner in the state of NH.  David holds a Supervisory certification.
